Tour News: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Holy smokes it’s getting warmer on our big brown continent and there’s been some interesting shows announced of late. Take all those pennies you’ve been saving and spend it wisely because there’s some great and not-so-great shows happening.

We bring you the raddest, the baddest and the saddest gigs announced in the last whenever-I-paid-attention.

THE GOOD

Richard In Your Mind & The Laurels @ Goodgod this Friday, $12 yo. Gig of the week.

Unkown Mortal Orchestra @ OAF, 7th December
Tickets are selling fast so get on it. Here.

THE BAD

Sisqo! The dude who released the gnarly Thong Song ten years ago and the less gnarly Unleash the Dragon is hitting town in October.
Buy a VIP ticket for $50 and you’ll get to party with Sisqo and get access to front of stage. You can’t afford not to go! Here.

If you don’t dig this song then you have no soul you fascist.

Incubus are back with a new album and touring next Feb! You bet your sweet ass Brandon Boyd will sing sans shirt and the bassplayer with the dirty dreadlocks will be stoned and the dj will be glad he never tried out for Crazy Town.

THE UGLY

Bizzaro Cedric & Omar are in town for Parklife and are playing an ever-so-special club show. Fantastique!

Stevie Wonder is playing at the new Casino. Tickets start at $500 coz the promotor is a douchebag. GO!

And finally, those fabulous Sydney posers The Shake Up are playing some “very special shows” and will be “unveiling an entire set of new material”. I bet you’ve counted down the seconds until you see them in the flesh! in all their mulleted dressed-in-black-coz-they’re-cool-glory! In all their “We’re The Shake Up if you’ve just joined us” between-song schtick! In all their “We’ve worked with the dude that worked with The White Stripes and The Electric Six” namedropping!
It’s not a bad game plan however; play a bunch of club shows where there’s already an audience then it appears there’s people watching them. Brilliant strategy. That’s the way forward if you have no fan base! See them this Thursday
